Olivia Lace-Evans is a video journalist for the BBC and is currently based in New York. She is an alumna of the Columbia Journalism School’s MSc Documentary Program. Her reporting has explored topics including the 2016 US presidential election, human trafficking, New York politics, child abuse and LGBT issues.
Her work has been featured in publications including The Washington Post, The BBC, The Sunday Times, The Observer and Religion News Service. Through The Fire, a documentary on the relationship between child and drug abuse, was co-directed, produced and edited by Olivia. Since it’s premiere in September, the film has been screened across the US and has received multiple awards.
Having reported from the UK, US, Argentina and India, Olivia is passionate about engaging in global topics that stimulate debate and shed light on political or social issues.
